È stato inaugurato il 11 novembre del 2017 una delle più grandi poli museali del mondo. Con un accordo del 2007 fra il governo di Abu Dhabi e quello francese, il museo Louvre di Parigi fornisce know out, opere, organizzazione, manager e soprattutto l'affitto per trentanni di un brand simbolo di cultura e arte; così è nato il Louvre Abu Dhabi, segno dei grandi cambiamenti dei tempi.
Il famoso architetto francese Jean Nouvel ha progettato la maestosa opera sull'isola di Saadiyat, sulla quale dovrebbero nascere anche altri centri culturali. La caratteristica del museo è uno sviluppo in verticale, una costruzione di 55 edifici e 87.000 metri quadri, con una esaltazione del bianco immacolato grazie alla penetrazione filtrata del sole del medio oriente. L'altro elemento sfruttato è l'acqua. La costruzione è in simbiosi con il mare. La gigantesca cupola rappresenta il simbolo di una nuova mentalità artistica.

On 11 November 2017, one of the world's largest museum centres was inaugurated. With a 2007 agreement between the government of Abu Dhabi and the French government, the Louvre museum in Paris provides know-how, artworks, organization, managers and above all the possibility for thirty years to use the brand that is a symbol of culture and art; so we have the Louvre Abu Dhabi, a sign of the great changes of the times.
