“STRANIERI OVUNQUE - FOREIGNERS EVERYWHERE”
The 60th International Art Exhibition begins on 20 April and ends on 24 November 2024.
There are three hundred and thirty invited artists, thirty collateral events, eighty-eight participating countries, but the winning ones are missing. For the first time, there are the Republic of Benin, Ethiopia, the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste and the United Republic of Tanzania.
The curator is Brazilian Adriano Pedrosa. The first time by a curator from South America. “Stranieri ovunque - Foreigners Everywhere” is a title. A title direct, liquid, pessimistic, sad, millenarian, medieval, memento mori. It is the catastrophism of the conformist, it is the respectability of the "strange" and the domination of lazy victimism.
The artists of the Biennale Arte will be wonderful again this year, narrating something different and courageous.
