Since his birth, man has always drawn on walls or in caves. They are signs of people, animals and hunting. Examples of prehistoric art have been found all over the world: in Europe, Africa and South America. Over time, this genre of painting has evolved into impressive works, especially political ones, such as the majestic murals by Diego Rivera. Since the seventies, graffiti lost its realism, but kept its creativity. Keith Haring, Jean-Michel Basquiat and many others, some know only by acronyms, begin the revolutionary and commercial aspects.

Nowadays, the absolute champion of fame, income, cultural power and promotion is Banksy. Banksy is the artistic icon of the moment. Born in Bristol, 'almost' unknown to everyone. Who are the 'almost' who know him?

The Art Of Banksy "Without Limits”

Banksy poses as disinterested in economic advantages but does not disdain the opulent marketing exploitation of his creations.

Why are his artworks successful? Why is he so popular?

It is possible to study it in the exhibition The Art of Banksy “Without Limits”. The Art of Banksy "Without Limits" has toured the world, with high public success and also some problems.

The author reverses reality: the little girl searches for the soldier. He has the contradiction of modern people: he is an anti-militarist but supports the war in Ukraine. He follows easy fashion: he rushes to paint NGO ships. He is politically correct: he adheres to the dictates of the rich American liberal capitalists who promote the movement. He is careful not to directly attack those who can harm him. Stylistically, he is impeccable. Where does Bansky's artwork come from? Does he get dirty with varnish on the walls, or does he stay in his studio making stencils while others spray paint?

Among the masters of street art, Keith Haring has personally experienced the challenges of society. Haring has coloured and outlined men and their transgressive physical postures. He exalted love and sex with simple positions.

Instead, Banksy plays with both iconic images of the Vietnam War and the “I am an imbecile” irony.

Is the exhibition interesting?

Unfortunately, the exhibition seems fake. The question is obvious. If Flower Thrower was painted on a house in Jerusalem, what is the one in an exposed frame? A replica, a numbered copy, a reproduction, a photo, a scan? No explanation in the captions.Everything is uncertain.

The overabundance of shows, exhibits, testimonials, books, articles, presences, has both enriched the anonymous of Bristol and contributed to distorting reality.

The exhibition is at the MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art in Bangkok. The statue of Silpa Bhirasri aka Corrado Feroci annihilates the genius of English anonymity.

“There’d he even less chance in a next life,” she smiled.
“In the old days, people woke up at dawn to cook food to give to monks. That’s why they had good meals to eat. But people these days just buy ready-to-eat food in plastic bags for the monks. As the result, we may have to eat meals from plastic bags for the next several lives.”
